Welcome
The Antico Borgo Monchiero is the result of a careful restoration of the eighteenth-century building adjacent to the Church of the Madonna del Rosario.
In the Borgo, on top of the hill that dominates the Tanaro valley, amongst rows of Nebbiolo and Dolcetto vines, hospitality and art play a key role.
One wing of the building was the studio of Eso Peluzzi, the famous painter, who created some of his greatest works of art there: this was the prototype for a contemporary art project that involves young artists living and working in the hotel, seeking inspiration from history and from their surroundings.
Exhibitions, performances and events alternate to offer guests the chance to live at close quarters with art, for a stay that will prove out-of-the-ordinary.
